Fred, G4BWP, and Andy, 5Z4VJ, plan to be active from St Helena in the South Atlantic as ZD7WP and ZD7VJ from 22 November to 5 December 2026.
Bands and modes
Activity is announced on HF, including 60m, using CW, SSB and FT8. Fred (ZD7WP) also plans to operate via the QO-100 satellite. The team has not yet published a full list of HF bands.
CQ WW DX CW
Andy (ZD7VJ) will enter the CQ World Wide DX Contest CW, held on 28–29 November 2026; his entry category is still to be confirmed. Before and after the contest he will also be on other bands and modes.
The island and previous trips
St Helena is a separate DXCC entity (prefix ZD7), IOTA AF-022. Both operators have been there before: Fred in 2025 alongside ZD7VI, Andy in 2024 and 2025.
